They use family recipes and they have daily specials that rotate. The day I went, there was fried chicken and smothered okra which I ordered along with a smothered catfish plate. The food was home-cooked tasting and outstanding. Again, one of my favorite restaurants in New Orleans. On this day the daily special was red beans and rice, one of the signature dishes of Louisiana. I got it with sausage, and it was wonderful. They are some of the most amazing cooked oysters you’ll ever eat, and they are without a doubt one of the best bites of food in all of New Orleans and the United States! It’s something you can’t miss when you’re in New Orleans.
