Talad Wat Raiking (ตลาดวัดไร่ขิง) is a Sunday morning market in Nakhon Pathom (นครปฐม), Thailand. More details here: http://migrationology.com/2014/08/breakfast-thai-fruit-carving-salads/
Mornings are one of the best times in Thailand to find delicious food. You'll find morning markets throughout Thailand every single day, and even more markets on the weekends as well.
One of the many famous markets on the morning weekends, located in the town of Nakhon Pathom, which is about an hour outside of central Bangkok, is Talad Wat Rai Khing (ตลาดวัดไร่ขิง), located across the river from Wat Rai Khing Temple.
It was my first time to ever go to Talad Wat Rai Khing (ตลาดวัดไร่ขิง), so I was excited to walk around, explore the market, and then sit down for a delicious Thai breakfast.
Among the many options that are available for Thai breakfast, is a dish called tom luad moo (ต้มเลือดหมู), which basically would translate to pork and pork blood soup, served with a bowl of rice on the side. The soup was not spicy or filled with too many flavors, it was mostly just a mixture of pork, cubes of boiled pork blood, some of the pig organs, all boiled into a meaty flavored soup, and seasoned with probably just a little bit of salt and pepper. But on my table, I also found some chili flakes, and some vinegar, which I added to my bowl of tom luad moo (ต้มเลือดหมู ), to increase the flavor.
Along with my bowl of tom luad moo (ต้มเลือดหมู), I also had a cup of black muddy coffee - not bad - but not the greatest cup of coffee I’ve ever had either.
If you ever happen to be in Nakhon Pathom (นครปฐม) on a Sunday morning, you can walk around Talad Wat Rai Khing (ตลาดวัดไร่ขิง), do some snacking, and have a hearty morning Thai breakfast.
