Joe "Jellybean" Bryant, father of the late Kobe Bryant, has passed away at the age of 69. Joe Bryant, an NBA legend in his own right, was drafted by the Golden State Warriors in the first round of the 1975 draft but spent his first four seasons with the Philadelphia 76ers. He later played for the San Diego Clippers and Houston Rockets before finishing his career in France and Italy, where Kobe spent much of his childhood. The Philadelphia 76ers honored Bryant, calling him a Philly basketball "icon" whose legacy spanned Bartram High School, La Salle University, and the NBA. La Salle University also mourned his loss, stating he was a beloved member of their community. Join us as we remember and celebrate the life and legacy of Joe "Jellybean" Bryant.
