Wisconsin Foodie - Victory Garden Initiative

Season 7, Episode 3. In this episode of Wisconsin Foodie we meet up with Gretchen Mead, Founder of the Victory Garden Initiative. Gretchen started a program in Milwaukee, WI called the Victory Garden Blitz were volunteers spread throughout the city and create raised bed gardens to promote food growth in urban spaces, reminiscent of the WWII Victory Garden movement. Host Kyle Cherek helps Gretchen build gardens and meet the lucky folks receiving them. Then we catch up with Gretchen 4 months later to see the progress at the Victory Garden's own urban farm, Concordia Gardens. Finally we wrap this thing up with a party "Farmraiser" to raise funds for Concordia Gardens.
