Protester Brian McGinnis, who says he's a Green Party political candidate that served in the Marines, and three U.S. Capitol Police officers were treated for injuries in a Senate office building on March 4 after McGinnis resisted arrest for disruptive behavior, getting his arm stuck in a doorway as the officers and Sen. Tim Sheehy (R-Montana) tried to drag him out of the room. McGinnis was protesting the U.S. military campaign in Iran, shouting, “America does not want to send its sons and daughters to war for Israel!” McGinnis was arrested and faces three counts of assaulting a police officer and three counts of resisting arrest and unlawful demonstration, the Capitol Police said in a statement.
